Accessibility

• MECA Swindon is nearly 100 years old and as such was never designed with full disabled access, the new management of MECA is committed to accommodating the requirements for access of all members of the community. Every effort is made to accommodate disabled patrons with disabled facilities, ramp access and flat floored access to the ground floor; unfortunately the balcony area is only accessible via staircases.

Guide Dogs

• Guide dogs are permitted in MECA, Swindon.

Assistance

• On the evening of an event, we advise disabled customers or those requiring assistance to arrive at the venue 10 minutes prior to the doors opening. When you arrive, stewarding personnel will be available at the main entrance to assist you if required. Please call the MECA booking line number if you require further information.

Steps

• The front entrance of the building is a stepped access; there is a ramped access available to the ground floor area from a designated entrance. As required by event risk assessments designated wheelchair area for concerts will be located at a defined area on the ground floor which offers step free access. Due to the age of the building the balcony area is only accessible via staircases with thirty stairs. unfortunately there is no lift to the balcony.
